Metal Expansion Joints
Belflex Hinged Type Expansion Joint
Hinged Type Expansion Joint contains hinges that are designed for angular movements in one/single plane only and also to prevent the expansion joint from deflecting axially which can be either compression or extension. Hinges also help in resisting thrust forces that is why it is advisable that hinged assembly should be used in two (2) or three (3) sets in order for it to work properly and need not to be co-linear. Hinged type expansion joints are also provided with hinge pin holes which allow the limitation of the axial travel. Limit rods are installed to control the degree of the angular movement.
